What's a fanlisting?

To quote TheFanlistings.org, a fanlisting is "a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject." Basically, a listing of fans from all around the world. :D

Who are Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi?

They are two characters from the rich universe of Star Wars. Qui-Gon, Jedi Master, took on Obi-Wan as his padawan learner - to impart all his knowledge and wisdom in the ways of the force. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were partnered together for many years, and became very close. Their closeness aided their ability to work in sync, anticipating each other's moves in battle or being able to work together in diplomatic work. They became one of the best master and padawan teams among the Jedi. Their relationship is one of intense depth, often resembling that of father and son. Though we see just a sliver of their teamwork in the movie The Phantom Menace, the Star Wars extended universe gives us a larger piece of their story through books and other media. Of particular interest is the Jedi Apprentice series of books, which follows Master Qui-Gon and young Obi-Wan through some of their adventures.

Why Last Chance?

I named the fanlisting Last Chance for a couple reasons. First is the quote from the main page, wherein Obi-Wan appeals to Qui-Gon to take him on as a padawan, because he was quickly approaching his 13th birthday and he had no other hope to become a Jedi knight. However, Obi-Wan turns out to be something of a last chance for Qui-Gon as well, who struggles to redeem himself after his last failed attempt at teaching a padawan learner (who fell to the dark side). They are both a little bit on the odds, which makes them a perfect fit when they finally come together.
